A celebration of music through the eras

Visual identity and event branding
RG Live, a promoter arm of Sony Music which runs music-themed events, was hosting a new musical show: Blackpool Tower Live. This three-day festival featured BBC 2 Sounds of the 80s DJ Gary Davis, 90s anthems from DJ Jo Whiley, and performances by funk sensation Brand New Heavies. We were asked to create a brand for the event that felt inclusive of all the musical eras, as well as the local area.













Adding colour and motion
Drawing inspiration from the mix of music genres and the spirit of Blackpool itself, we produced a design system that was bright, bold and bursting with expressive typography and graphic patterns.

Sony Music Entertainment
This system was designed to flex across the varied formats and content of Blackpool Tower Live, for seamless integration of each musical era’s distinct aesthetic without losing the overarching identity of the event.
